How to turn on and off the label maker

To turn on the printer, press and hold the switch button for 3 seconds. To turn off the printer, also press and hold the switch button for 3 seconds.

How do I do a quick reprinting of the same content?

When you have printed at least one label designed in the app and while the printer is on, press the switch button once, and it will repeat the same printing once.

How do I calibrate the label position after I have inserted it?

Press the switch button once, and it will discard one label. Then the printer is fine and in correct position to print the labels.

Why is the label maker unable to connect via Bluetooth?

Please make sure Bluetooth is switched ON on your mobile device. The printer needs to be searched for and connected via the NIIMBOT app, particularly important for iOS users. Directly using the phone's Bluetooth to connect the printer may fail. And please also make sure that when installing the NIIMBOT app, it is granted permission to use the phone's Bluetooth.

Why is the label printed off-center even if I have aligned the text to center?

This may happen after a new or another label is inserted. The printer will take the first one to align. Please try to print a second label, and it will be aligned. If the alignment is still a bit off, we can use the offset function. After clicking the print icon on the label edit page, before pressing the print button, there is a “Settings” button in grey next to the printer. We can add some horizontal and vertical offset to calibrate the alignment.

Does the label maker support bulk printing?

Yes, you can download the “NIIMBOT” app and import the Excel file for bulk printing.

I cannot charge my printer. Why?

You may try another USB cable and adapter and check if the problem persists.

If the problem still persists, please contact us via mail or Facebook Messenger.

My printer cannot detect the label. Why?

There is an IC installed on each label. In a very rare case or due to transportation, the IC may have been damaged and cannot be detected. Please use the “scanning” function once you open the app. We can then scan the barcode of the label on the package box or bag, and the template will show up on the app for editing.

After inserting the label and closing the lid, the message "Please use the new version paper, tighten it, and replace it." appears. Why?

This is the same as when the label is not detected by the printer. The same message appears if you close the lid and no label is inside. The text on the label is not clear. Why?

There are several possible causes.

• The printer is not fully charged or has a low battery charge. Please recharge the printer

• Sometimes some font type to some language may lead to characters too thin. Please try another font type.

• Please try make the font BOLD.

• Please try to increase the “Print Density” on print page.

How long does the label content keep?

The life expectancy of the thermal labels (D Series and B Series except fo B18) is at least 2 years. The effective working temperature of the labels is below 70 °C/158 °F. The content usually last longer than 2 years in the effective working temperature.

The life expectancy of the thermal transfer labels from B18 labelers is at least 8 years. The effective working temperature of the label is -20 °C to 120 °C.

What is the printing method used by label maker?

NIIMBOT D Series and B Series (Except B18) label makers are using thermal printing on laminated labels. It just takes a printer and thermal paper to print. B18 label makers are using the thermal transfer printing method for long-lasting purposes and more extreme conditions.

Are the labels UV-proof?

The B18 labels are laminated and sunlight UV-proof. For D Series and other B series, we recommend for indoor use.

Are the labels environmentally friendly?

Yes. The labels are tested with US standard by SGS, US EPA 3550C.

How can I know the label maker is charging?

The light of the label maker would be blinking while it’s in low power or charging. If you are using a SuperCharge adaptor (e.g. 65W or above), the printer may not be charged. Please use a USB 2.0 charger.
